The Lone Star Classic National Qualifier will take place over 3 days. To be accepted teams must satisfy the following criteria:

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

Register on AES - Registration opens October 1st, 12:00am CST.
Submit entry fee payment
Fulfill the Stay to Play Policy

All division minimums are 12 teams.

LATE FEES

Late fees start at 12:01AM on the AES late registration date - 3/1/2022. Teams who register and/or pay after the registration deadline will incur an additional $100 fee.

STAY TO PLAY

This event is a stay to play tournament. Any team traveling further than 60 miles must secure a minimum number of 5 rooms through EM2 Housing. Rooms booked directly through hotels will not apply.

Reservations open on November 1, 2021 @ 8am CST. If you do not see enough rooms available for your team, or your preferred hotel is sold out, please contact EM2 Housing for assistance immediately. If you book rooms on your own with a hotel directly, or through an alternate housing website, your team will not qualify to participate in this stay to play tournament.

After a team is accepted in to this event they will be charged a $50 division change fee if they wish to switch to a different division (before or after the deadline). The fee may be waived if this move benefits the tournament, this decision will be made at the discretion of the tournament director.

Roster Disclaimer:

Roster changes cannot be made after confirming online check in. If a roster change is needed, email eventstaff@austinsportscenter.com to request a check in reset, and then complete the online check in process again.

To participate in any Lone Star Region sanctioned event, rosters must include:

COACH – at least 1 coach; all coaches must have a cleared background screen, signed USAV Junior Club Personnel Code of Ethics, SafeSport certified, IMPACT certified
SCORER – can be “in-progress” by clinic attendance or pre-registration Scorer Chair
REFEREE – can be “in-progress” by clinic attendance or pre-registration with Referee Chair
MINIMUM of SIX (6) Registered ATHLETES
SAFE SPORT (if applicable)- athletes turning 18 during the season, whose teammates are minors, will be required to take "Core" Center for SafeSport training upon turning 18

The contact information signed on the roster should be a coach on-site at the tournament. This information is used to contact the team for emergency updates during the event.

HOW TO SATISFY REQUIREMENTS

Background screen and signed Code of Ethics: complete in USAV membership portal.
To become IMPACT and SafeSport certified: take the course under USAV Clinics in the USAV membership portal.
To become a Scorer applicant: send application with anticipated clinic date and $25 clinic fee to Steve Crane, Scorer Chair, 18710 Appletree Hill Lane, Houston, Texas 77084.
To become a Referee applicant: send application with anticipated clinic date and $25 fee to the Thomas Hoy, Referee Chair, 3019 Nantucket Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78230 AND email copy of application and check to thoy@satx.rr.com.
To become a registered member, go to www.lsvolleyball.org and use the “Registration” menu option.
